We are proud of our wonderful village pre-school and are happy to welcome you and your child to SKIPS.

We provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, where children will be encouraged to achieve their full potential in all areas of development, and where pre-school life will be a fun, relaxed and positive experience. We aim to provide an environment that feels like home as well as a rich outdoor learning environment to foster children’s resilience. SKIPS is a homely place to be.

SKIPS Pre-School is registered with OFSTED and a member of the Early Years Learning Alliance.

We are situated in the heart of stunning countryside in Oldbury, Ightham between Sevenoaks, and Borough Green. We have easy and safe access to the local park; our own Woodland; Oldbury Woods and nearby farmland. The Pre-School is adjacent Ightham Primary School with safe parking and access via the Recreation Ground path at the rear of the premises.

We work closely with the surrounding schools to ensure a smooth transition from Pre-School to Primary School.

Childcare funding for children under the age of 2 years for working families
Pre-School childcare and education for children aged from 22 months to school age (under 5 years old), offering a variety of session times between 08:45 and 15:00 Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year (Term Time)
Government Funded sessions for 3- and 4-year-olds
Government Funded sessions for some 2-year-olds who meet certain criteria

Our hot lunches are provided by Nourish Contract Catering (Ightham School Kitchens). Menus change in line with the seasons.
